Omg! I just noticed that this post was on draft for the longest time! I thought that I posted it! :(… Let me just get straight to it.
Siargao was probably the highlight of my Summer trip for 2015. I have been wanting to surf and I heard that Siargao was the best place to surf in the Philippines. I want/need to surf. Damn I wish I had a GoPro back then!
We were trying to save money as much as possible so we decided to take a boat instead of a plane. And I am telling you guys now that IT WAS SUCH A BAD IDEA! yes we did save a few hundred pesos, but wasted so much time. We got a boat from Cebu to Surigao because there was no boat going straight to Siargao. When we arrived to Surigao there were already a lot of tricycle drivers pecking us to take us to the boat going to Siargao. We picked one and he took us to the docking area but the boat was still not there. The people said that it wasn’t going to arrive in about 3 hours. So we walked around surigao and look for a place to eat. We ate at Mcdonalds and stayed there because it was super hot and they had AC
This was the boat used going to Surigao to Siargao
The boat ride going to Siargao was also about 3 hours. Trust it was so hot, but the scenery was beautiful. Here’s my friend chillin at the shade area. Hope he falls off haha jk
We finally arrived at KERMIT SURF RESORT AND CAMP! This place was awesome! It was magical and I will forever come back to it every trip to Siragao. (I have a booked trip to Siargao in June 4- June 8 2016) The people were so kind and welcome and helpful, the place really felt tropical because of the palm trees and greenery. They also served free big breakfast and trust me you will be full!
They even had ping pong tables!
Before I could go to the water they had to teach me the basics and one of the kuyas really made it a fun time for me
And then he said I was ready and took me to the water.
Balancing on this was the hardest thing in life, but practice makes perfect
The second day we went Island Hopping! We bought food like mangoes and fish because they can grill on the boat.
The water was super clear!
This was one of the island that we went to pictures also below where I climbed some trees hahaha. This was also the reason I got so dark. We forgot to being Sunscreens and we were dying out there, but it was all worth it!
I climbed some trees hahaha
chilled at the floating cottage
cooked our food
There was this place called the naked Island. It’s a sandbad where there are so trees I guess thats why it’s called naked. There were also some people there celebrating and gave us some drink. Everyone in Siargao are so friendly
This was the best trip that I have ever taken. My face clearly says it all. Comment if you have any questions. I did forget though how much I paid for each expense but for 2persons and 2 night plus the boat fair. We spent around 12000 for everything. so roughly 6k each which isnt bad at all for a 3 day trip.
