This was my 2nd time visiting Siargao and my 2nd time going island hopping and it just gets better and better. Our
included an island hopping with lunch. There were 5 of us that went and it was awesome! Connecting with other people you meet along the way just bring out the best in everyone. We met Frederica who was Italian, but lived most of her life in Switzerland. She quit her job and has been traveling around the globe for 2 years! How awesome is that! I also asked her if she travel blogged and she said that she tried, but it took too long to post things specially traveling in countries with super slow wifi. So she stopped. I wish that I got her facebook or something, but I didn’t get a chance to. 🙁 There were also another couple from the Philippines that are going to travel to Thailand and Vietnam. I love how everyone is traveling right now.
Last year only 2 of us went and I’d recommend that for a more serene kind of outing.
BTW I did make a Youtube video for the island hopping. Check it out here.
The naked island is pretty much a big sandbar. The sand is powdery white. The water was just the right temperature, but don’t get too far off the coast since there are sea urchins around. I prefer wearing those beach shoes lol. Also the current is pretty strong. Though I did see a guy swimming out there with no life vest or anything. I seriously sat in the side of the beach just watching him cause I was scared that he might drown or needed help or something at least I would be able to see him if he did. He did managed to get back though he was European basing from his accent and his 6 footer height.
Next stop was Daku Island. Daku island was named Daku because well because it is a big island. Daku means big in Filipino language. This was where we had our lunch in a cottage where we were served chicken, fish, rice, fruits, and water. We were pretty much starving so I only managed to take photos of the fish and chicken. lol. We devoured that so quick!
Our last stop was Guyam Island. Guyam island is actually a private owned island. Man imagine owning an island.. How awesome! This island has a lot of coconut trees so you can ask to buy some coconut and they will prepare it for you. It’s only 30 pesos about 50 cents. You can sit there climb some cocunuts or chill by the beach drinking your coconut.
