This was my second time attending Bible study, and honestly, I get so excited every time it’s about to start. There’s just something so comforting about being surrounded by women of all ages, sharing our stories and learning from one another. It amazes me how different our lives are, yet how often our experiences overlap. We laugh, we cry, and we nod along because we’ve all felt that same “why me?” moment at some point.
I used to think I was alone in my struggles, like I was the only one asking God why things were happening the way they were. But through these sessions, I’ve realized I’m not alone at all. These women, with their wisdom and vulnerability, have opened my eyes and reminded me that there’s purpose in the pain.
Last night, we talked about the “refiner’s fire.” The idea that our trials are shaping us to be more like Jesus really hit me. One of the ladies said that now, when she faces problems, she asks herself, “What would Jesus do?” That stuck with me. It’s something I want to practice more often. I’ve noticed that sometimes I react with frustration or harshness, but I’m learning to pause, breathe, and realign my response.
I’m still growing, still learning, but this journey back to Christ feels so real, so needed. And I’m thankful for this little community that’s walking with me.
