One of my life goals is to read the entire Bible. I’m literally 33 years old and still haven’t finished it from start to end. I’ve tried so many times, but I always stopped somewhere in Genesis.
But you guys, today I did it. I finally finished Genesis and even started reading the first few chapters of Exodus.
When people say that God in the Old Testament was strict, they really weren’t lying. The stories in there blow my mind. It was truly a different time. The way things happened, the lessons, the punishments, the miracles, it’s intense.
I’m praying that I stay consistent and finish the Bible this year. One of my friends told me that they try to read the whole Bible once a year, and that’s something I’m striving for too.
One story that really stuck with me was how Joseph forgave his brothers, even after everything they did to him. It made me reflect on how God’s plan is always in motion, even when things seem confusing or unfair. I’m learning that everything happens for a reason and that we have to trust in His timing.
Let go, and let God.
