We did it, guys. We pulled off our very first pop-up event at Sakari Golf Range and it was a success in all the ways that truly matter. I’m incredibly grateful for my managers who showed up ready, and for the staff who were solid and dependable the entire time. By the end of the night, the vibe was so laid back and mellow. Honestly, I realized the range really lends itself more to acoustic, chill energy. It’s the kind of place you want to hang out and unwind.
Now, let’s talk numbers. We had over 300 walk-ins across the two days. Not everyone played golf and that’s okay. I overheard a few guests say things like, “Ohh, I didn’t even know there was a golf range here!” or “I’m too shy to try now, but I’ll definitely be back.” That right there? That’s marketing. I know a good chunk of those 300 people are going to come back or better yet, bring friends next time.
We also had our first taste of Pablo Restobar in action! We served:
- Cartel Carne – authentic carne asada tacos, Mexican street style
- Ceviche del Patrón – a fresh twist on kinilaw
- Elote Blanco – grilled Mexican street corn

People who’ve lived in the U.S. and were missing real tacos? They were all in. Filipino guests took a second to warm up to it, but once they did? Orders started flying in. It was honestly amazing to see people try something new and love it.
All in all, it was a humbling and eye-opening experience. From planning to execution, I learned so much. More than anything, it felt great to bring together local vendors and give everyone a space to shine. We may not have hit the revenue I hoped for, but the exposure, connections, and vibe? Worth every second. Can’t wait to do this again.
