My heart has always been set uon uplifting the community, and one of the ways Im doing that is by hosting a pop up event at Sakari Golf Range. I startd reaching out to a few local vendors that I personally love and I was so excited when they said yes. That small idea stared growing fast.
After I posted about the event happening on June 7 and 8, the messages started pouring in. So many people reached out, and it’s been both exciting and overwhelming in the best way. I’ve put together vendor agreements and created pop-up guidelines to make sure everything runs smoothly. I even booked lights, sounds, and an acoustic band to set a chill, relaxed vibe for the weekend.
This is my first time organizing an event like this, and I;ve realized something about me. I’m definitely a behind the scenes type of girl. I can handle the content, deisgn the post, and manage everything from the background, bur being front and center? That part makes me so anxious. Like, actual anxiety dreams anxious. Just last night I dreamt that only 5 vendors showed up, the tables were’t out so, and the small amout of people were just standing around awkwardly…. not fun lol.
But despite the nerves, Im hopeful. Ive got about 15 vendors lined up.. I mean all 15 cant back our last minute right? Well Im hoping that it is going to be a vibe. I really want this to be more than just a one- time thing. If it goes well, I’d love to make it a regular event. A space where people from he community can come together, relax, and support both new and established local businesses.
So fingers crossed. Rain or shine, we are doing this. And if you are free, come out with us. Let’s make some memories.
xoxo, Van
