5 Highest Paying Countries for Nurses

5 Highest Paying Countries for Nurses

Working abroad is a dream for most people for reasons such as better opportunities and compensation. The following are some of the best countries in the world to work as a nurse. All average salaries are provided in US dollars. Here are the 5 highest paying Countries for Nurses. Which one would you choose?

#1 Luxembourg – $60,000 to $125,000

This tiny country in Western Europe pays its nurses exceptionally well, now topping the list as the highest-paid country in the world for nurses. Obtaining a job as a nurse is incredibly tough due to the country’s small size and tax haven rules. To work as a nurse in Luxembourg, you must first apply to the Ministry of Health. Nurses are either licensed as adult-only nurses or as part of a broader system. Depending on the nursing position’s specialty, this is critical. Working in Luxembourg necessitates the acquisition of a visa.

#2 USA – 73,500

This is where everyone really wants to get in, but many nurses, especially in the Philippines, have difficulty getting it. Foreign nurses must have a commission on graduates of foreign nursing school (CGFNS) – I briefly talked about this on the international student podcast. To start working, you will also need to pass the NCLEX, which is the national council licensure examination.

Ireland – $64,000

Nurses must register with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland to practice in Ireland (NMBI). The Board advises nurses not to relocate to Ireland until a decision on credentialing has been made. It’s also crucial not to seek a job or enquire about one until you’ve received certification from the Board. Interested applicants must complete an online information packet, a background check, fingerprints, and an English proficiency exam to be considered. Regardless of whether you are a native English speaker or not, this is needed.

Italy – $59,594

To obtain a nursing license in Italy, nurses must pass the Italian Nursing Boards, a language proficiency exam, and be sponsored by an Italian hospital. Once this occurs, a visa to work in Italy must be requested through the Italian Embassy.

Virgin Islands – $58,831

The Virgin Islands Board of Nursing licenses registered nurses and practical nurses. Nurses who want to work in the Virgin Islands must apply for licensure with the Board of Nursing.

Where would you choose?
