Today, technological advancements play a crucial role in everyone’s life. For this reason, several applications have been also developed to make our lives easier. Here are some you should probably know about if you are a nurse or a student nurse:
NCSBN Learning Extension: This simple application saves a drug library on your phone. It’s ideal for students studying for examinations or nurses in need of a quick reference. Available for iOS and Android for free!
Nursing Dictionary: This app by Farlex is available on apple and android. It offers access to over 56,000 medical terms, 9,000 images, and 4,000 medication entries at your fingertips.
GoodNotes: GoodNotes is the ideal app for turning your smartphone or tablet into a digital notebook. It even offers the ability to import PDF, PowerPoint, Word, and picture files, so you’ll never lose track of crucial notes or documents again! I use this all the time. Here is a cheat sheet that I made in it.
NCLEX RN Mastery: The importance of passing the NCLEX-RN licensure exam should be highlighted to nursing students. Practice questions, mnemonics, terminology, and quizzes are all available in the NCLEX RN Mastery app to help you stay on top of your study. Anyone wishing to augment their study routine will find this to be a valuable addition.
Epocrates: This free app functions as a small survival guide for both nurses and nursing students. You may learn about various diseases, their essential treatment points, medications, diagnostic procedures, and tests, calculate dosages, and much more with Epocrates. I used this sooo much when I was answering discussions, during clinical, and until not this is the most straightforward app. I like this better than UptoDate actually.
